Netanyahu Declares ‘No Terrorist Immune’ Following Israeli Strike on Hezbollah Commander

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Israel's adversaries following the elimination of a senior Hezbollah commander, declaring that no terrorist is immune from Israeli retaliation.

The statement came after Israeli forces successfully targeted and killed a high-ranking Hezbollah operative in what security officials described as a precision strike. While specific details about the operation's location and timing were not immediately disclosed, the elimination marks a significant escalation in Israel's ongoing confrontation with the Iran-backed militant group.

"Israel will continue to act decisively against those who threaten our security and our citizens," Netanyahu said, reaffirming Israel's policy of targeted operations against terrorist leaders. "No terrorist is immune, and we will reach anyone who poses a threat to the State of Israel, wherever they may be."

The strike comes amid heightened tensions along Israel's northern border, where Hezbollah has maintained a significant military presence in southern Lebanon. Israeli defense officials have repeatedly expressed concern about the group's expanding arsenal of precision-guided missiles and its efforts to establish advanced weapons production facilities.

Hezbollah, designated as a terrorist organization by Israel, the United States, and several other nations, has not yet issued an official response to the operation. However, the group has historically vowed to retaliate against Israeli strikes targeting its leadership and infrastructure.

The Israeli military has been on heightened alert along the Lebanese border, with defense systems positioned to respond to potential retaliatory attacks. Local authorities in northern Israel have been briefed on the security situation, though no changes to civilian defense protocols have been announced at this time.

This latest operation underscores Israel's continued strategy of preemptive action against what it identifies as imminent threats from hostile groups operating along its borders. Hezbollah, which fought a month-long war with Israel in 2006, is estimated to possess an arsenal of over 100,000 rockets and missiles, making it one of the most heavily armed non-state actors in the world.
